4H Shooting Sports

A little rundown of how our program runs. We have a total of 10 meetings. At each meeting, we have 13 classes going on each night. All third graders are in one class that we call our shooting sports explorers class. Basically we teach them about our natural resources. We have 5 round robin classes. Archery, pistol, rifle, shotgun, and black powder. Every two meetings we rotate these groups to a different shooting discipline. As these round robin kids come back the following year, they can choose a basic shooting discipline to be in for the entire 10 meetings. Archery, pistol, rifle, shotgun, black powder, hunting and wildlife and we have an advanced shotgun class which is the class that shoots trap at the gun club.
